The Hill Country Village Homeowners Association is an
active group of our residents organized to, as stated in its
bylaws, “foster a feeling of community in the Village by having
a citizenry that is informed and involved in the issues that
affect the welfare of all.” Through its communications,
newsletters, and social gatherings, homeowners can feel
connected to each other in our community and to the officials we
elect to govern us.
The Association studies many diverse issues, presents pros
and cons, and offers public forums for open discussion while
retaining impartiality. General membership meetings are open to
all residents, held usually each spring and fall. Past meetings
have been devoted to lively Q&A forums before mayoral and city
council elections; zoning and development issues; and building
awareness of local landscape, water, recycling and animal
ordinances.
The HOA jointly publishes an informative bi-monthly
newsletter with the City of Hill Country Village that is mailed
to each homeowner. A homeowner’s directory is distributed at no
charge every two years. Car decals are available for $2 for each
household and can be picked up at city hall.
Just for fun ...the HOA sponsors a Holiday in the Village
in December for all our families and children. A spring Sidewalk
Sale held in the city hall parking lot motivates a lot of us to
clean up and clean out, and with our community security in mind.
Share your talents with all of us! If something interests
you, contact the head of the committee (phone numbers in the
residents’ directory) and offer your time.
The HOA is a non-profit group, managed by an executive
committee and its elected officers, and is incorporated in the
state of Texas. Annual dues are just $10 and are paid on a
calendar-year basis.
