City Adopts Balanced Budget for FY 2002-03

Below is a summary of the FY 2002-03 adopted budget of the City of Hill Country Village and the Economic Development Corporation. The budget is balanced at or below the rollback tax rate.

The FY 2002-03 adopted budget represents one of the most challenging budgets in years, eliminating a projected shortfall through a combination of reductions and redirections designed to minimize adverse impact on the delivery of priority services.

The property tax rate for FY 2002-03 adopted by City Council is $.094950.

The FY 2002-03 adopted budget reflects a decrease of 29.68 percent from FY 2001-02 estimates primarily due to the close out of the Road Project—Phases II and III this past fall.
